Internship HR Compliance @Philips

Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible ( September / October 2021 )

Duration: minimum of 6 months, available for a minimum of 24 hours / week

Location: homeworking / Eindhoven

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Support the transition of Philips into a data driven organization and enable your Philips colleagues in making informed business decisions in line with the privacy standards and regulations.

You are responsible for

  • Work closely with countries and business process owns to ensure key controls are timely executed.
  • Support in preparation for external and internal audit and work closely with process/control owners to ensure that audit findings are timely resolved
  • Support in preparation of periodic reporting to key stakeholders such as (senior) management.
  • Identify opportunity to increase efficiency and continuously improve on the existing internal control framework
  • Assist to drive change and support in implementation of process improvements
  • Support automation of payroll controls using Robotic Process Automation
  • Supporting and participating in the development of corporate-wide privacy and data protection principles, policies and practices as well as their implementation within the Corporate Human Resources function. 
  • Supporting the Corporate Human Resources and the Philips Head of Risk Management and Compliance with all privacy matters globally that affect Philips related to Corporate Human Resources.
  • Provide support to other Global Privacy Officers on compliance of any vendor relationship with applicable Privacy and Data Protection laws and Philips Binding Corporate Rules
  • Assist Corporate Human Resources function in implementing privacy and data protection requirements throughout the life-cycle of internal system development and usage, including Privacy by Design architecture
  • Collaborate with other Privacy Officers and lawyers within Philips on Philips wide projects such as implementation of Binding Corporate Rules
  • Assist in development and implementation of privacy awareness and training activities for staff within Corporate Human Resources.
  • Work Cross functionally with multi-discipline groups on privacy matters, to monitor laws, regulations, and our contracts associated with the management and control of personal data.

You are a part of

The internship position will reside within the HR Compliance & Privacy team managing financial, operational and privacy compliance activities globally for HR Function.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree, ideally related to Finance, HR or Business Management
  • Good written/oral communication skills, analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment
  • Knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to dive into Internal control and compliance tools.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated and flexible in a multi-cultural international team setting.
  • Team player as well as able to work independently
