Function Description
Analyst – ICS New Accounts Data Science
Purpose Of The Role
The incumbent would be part of the Global New Accounts Decision Science team reporting into Manager – ICS New Accounts Decision Science and would be responsible for developing and maintaining underwriting models for consumer new accounts risk management.
Responsibilities
- Development, maintenance and enhancements of consumer underwriting models
- Drive the next generation of models by leveraging wide array of traditional and alternate data and by leveraging advanced machine learning algorithms.
- Work with cross-functional teams like underwriting, finance and marketing, provide decision science support and enhance new accounts underwriting decisions.
Critical Factors To Success
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to apply both quantitative methods and business skills to drive results
Academic Background
Post Graduate degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Engineering / Management from Tier 1 institute
Functional Skills/Capabilities
Strong relationship building, management and influencing skills
Technical Skills/Capabilities
Strong working knowledge of data mining techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, SVM (support vector machines), kNN (k-Nearest Neighbors) and GBM (Gradient Boosting Machines)
Knowledge Of Platforms
Experience with data manipulation tools (eg: SAS, SQL, SPSS) a must have
